it is very time consuming just to read and reply to emails anymore. is anyone else experiencing these problems and is there a fix or soon to be one? I like Thunderbird and always have but this is getting to be a real headache. No problems here with a Win 10 1511 machine and Tbird 45.2. Thank god. Sounds like you're having a rough time. I also use Lightning and Provider for Google Calendar with Lightning.

Both POP and IMAP accounts are in use. Extensive mail filters to the Local Folders inbox work as well. All of it works perfectly. I don't use Tbird for Usenet/NNTP servers. Sorry I can't be of more help, but it's probably something specific to your setup.

To do this go to Settings and look for something like this: New User Account This is to test whether something else is corrupted in your current user account. The new account will be completely brand new and so there won't be any corruption.

If this works as expected then clearly you'll need to clean u your account that is corrupted but for that you'll need to post on Mozilla.General or to use Windows newsgroup. Windows Newsgroup is preferable.
